Welcome to my personal website!Check out my work
Eighth course towards my Masters Degree in Computer Information System is done! This course began with a brief history of communications, information systems, and the Internet. Then it broke down the role of network layering, the Internet Layer Model, and current standards. It covered the basic functions of the Network and Transport layers in context of design issues, addressing, routing, and internet working. The TCP/IP suite of protocols was used for an in-depth example with hands on labs. LANs were covered in detail including components, Ethernet, design, and performance. Wireless networks and best practices in WLAN design were also presented. The course then concludes with significant coverage of network security, network design, and network management.
Just learned how to use UISwipeGestureRecognizer. This app was created just to experiment on how to implement it.
It’s been over ten years sine I’ve been sky diving. I had an opportunity to do it again when a few friends of mine decided we should jump out of a plane. The fist time I did it was when I lived in South Carolina. Well since I currently Live in Italy, I might as well do it over Venice with some friends!
Finally finished my 7th course towards my Masters Degree in Computer Information Systems. In this course I learned about the principles, processes, and practices of software project management. I also learned techniques for planning, organizing, scheduling, and controlling software projects. There was substantial focus on software cost estimation and software risk management. I obtained practical project management skills related to software projects such as, establishment of project communications, managing project changes and managing distributed software teams and projects.
I just took a trip to Nuremberg. I’ve been wanting to do this trip for quite sometime. It is the second largest city in Bavaria second to Munich. It has a lot to offer such as medieval castles, city walls, to something more recent Word War Two history. I found the beer great and the Franconian food delicious! I wouldn’t mind to come back and see it in winter, since the oldest Christmas Market is held there. Who knows? I might be going back later this year.
Another class almost finished. This class has taken me through the process designing, developing and coding a database using SQL. Its a class that has made me more interested in Data Mining and Business Intelligence!
Last time I was in Florence, Italy was in ’05. I was there for one night and I didn’t have a digital camera or a smartphone. With an iPhone I managed to take some pictures which I would print to decorate my office space.
I felt being a little sporty this past weekend, so I decided to take a nice bike ride. I ended up finding a poppy flower in a middle of a wheat field and being chased by a storm that came out of nowhere!
I’m getting ready to make myself another home brew! A question I am always asked is, ” how difficult is it to make it?” Well, its very simple to start making beer and I hope to find time to make a video to demonstrate it.
Well the two week break between classes is coming to an end. I will be starting my third class towards my Masters in Computer Information Systems.
In a clear day like this, it is worth going up the mountains to relax. The day is so clear that you can actually see the Adriatic Sea.
I love eating outdoors and enjoying the view of our backyard!
It was great to be able to spend time with family in a weekend trip to one of my favorite cities!
I haven’t been home for a few years! I’m always excited to try new restaurants and spend time with what is important, family!
Sometimes it doesn’t hurt to step outside to get some sun and fresh air to do some programming!
I’m pretty excited to start CS520 Information Structures with Boston University!
This course covers will cover the concepts of the object-oriented approach to software design and development using Java. It includes a detailed discussion of programming concepts beginning with the fundamentals of data types, control structures, methods, classes, arrays and strings, and proceeding to more advanced topics such as inheritance and polymorphism, interfaces, creating user interfaces, exceptions, and streams.
Went on a day trip to Bologna, Italy to check out an art show on Johannes Vermeer. The main art piece is “THE GIRL WITH A PEARL EARRING”, which was painted in 1665. I hear there is a movie and now I have to watch it!
I’ve picked up the hobby of home brewing. Nothing like drinking your home made beer!

I’ve actually been using Apple computers since 2007. Now that I’m teaching myself iOS development through reading books, I have ran into issues understanding some symbols. Not all keyboard symbols make sense! I’ve never really had a use for them[…]
I ran into this accessory for the iPad in search for something different for my kids iPad. Its consists of a reflector and an a base. The best way I can describe this is that it acts like a “Kinect” for your iPad[…]
Solar Freaking Roadways! That’s right! This concept, of using roads as solar cells, seems like a great idea. Critics on the other hand are claiming that it won’t endure the punishment and damage that streets regularly have to handle. Everything[…]
Watching this video made me laugh! Its amazing how far we have gotten with technology, especially personal computers. Watching these kids trying to figure out how to start and application on the Apple II, reminded me of my first Windows[…]

My skills in Java programming are very little, but I will be starting another class soon! My next class towards my master’s degree is Information Structures. I’ve used Java Based systems before, but never gave it thought in language and[…]
